Furniture color matters. Scientifically proved that it influences our mood and spirits. Scarlet and red hues provoke aggression and anxiety, blue and green soothe and calm us down, bright orange fills with optimism and hope.
But what about… taupe? This greyish-brownish-beige hue is light enough to make a kitchen look more spacious and bright, but it’s not crispy-white, so there are no associations with hospitals or impeccably clean surfaces (not the best choice for a kitchen, huh?).
Taupe belongs to the earthy-pastel palette, it makes the room cozy and creates a feeling of stability, reliability and security. Taupe is a natural color of aging wood, dusty stone and shabby furniture. It’s the color of home.
